Come join the Entrepreneurial Mindset Summer Camp Rowing & Robotics!. This is a G.E.M. Class camp sponsored by The Community Policing Project & Techworks Gaston. This camp will prove to be exciting as it brings together Kids, Community & Police to learn Team Building with an “Entrepreneurial Mindset.”
Included in this camp will be a NASA Team project as part of the Museum of the Moon Art Exhibit coming to Belmont in October, Entitled "Moon over Main." Also included is the “Entrepreneurial Mindset” training through “G.E.M.” class. This is a 4 week camp with Rowing in the morning and Robotics in the afternoon. The Rowing portion will be held at the Belmont Rowing Center while the Robotics portion will be held at Techworks Gaston. The Camp will run from June 15, 2021 - July 8, 2021 from 8:30am - 4:30pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays. Lunch & Snacks will be provided.
The Camp “kick off” will be Saturday, June 12, 2021 with “Movie Night” at Techworks, with the movie “A Most Beautiful Thing.” The true story of an unlikely American High School Rowing Team. 7pm to 930pm.
This camp is a partnership of three non-profits; The Community Policing Project, Techworks Gaston & Belmont Rowing Center in an effort to provide opportunity for all kids and prepare them for success with an Entrepreneurial Mindset and Innovative approaches. This camp also meets The STEAM/STEM education model.
